Summer at the Belgian coast with Metro

In order to ensure that the influx of travelers to the Coast is corona-safe, SNCB is working with a seat reservation system for direct trains from Gent-Sint-Pieters, Brussels-Midi/Zuid, Antwerp, and Liege to 4 destinations at the Coast. During the summer, these trains Coast Express will be operated specifically for day visitors.

Metro Media anticipates the roll-out of these trains and will increase the circulation of the free newspaper Metro at the Belgian coast this summer. From now on, extra distribution is planned in order to maximize the influx of day-trippers to Oostende, De Panne, Knokke en Blankenberge, De Haan, Nieuwpoort, Wenduine, Middelkerke, etc. Additional distribution is thus planned in various tram stations at the Belgian Coast.
